Poon Hill (4-7 days)

The Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking is an immensely popular short trek to the Annapurnas on the North of Nepal's famous Lake city Pokhara. The trek is ideal for those who can afford short time but aspire to embrace the nature beauty and the magnificent view of Himalayas of Annapurna region. The breathtaking mountain scenery of whole Annapurna range and the beautiful ethnic Gurung villages justify the popularity of Ghorepani Poon hill trekking and is the best seller among all our short trekking In Nepal.

The main attraction of this trek is the visit to Poon Hill from where we can enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the whole Himalayan range. The panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu and other numerous mountains along the world's deepest Kali Gandaki gorge.

This trek follows a historic trade route towards Tibet as far as Ghorepani (poonhill). Here, at 3210, is a spectacular panoramic view of the Mt. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna II, South II, Nilgiri, Tukchey, Dhampus peak, Butterfly mountain & Himchuli and all mountain range of Annapurna region. Descending on a narrow trail through rhododendron forests to Ghandrung (a large and picturesque Gurung village), the route continues back to Pokhara on a ridge that offers frequent views of Machhapuchhare, the "Fishtail" mountain. This is also one of the special trekking for those bird and nature lovers because much of the walking trail is through forests abounding in bird life.
